COVID-19 Updates and Resources

Since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak reached the DC, MD, and VA area, the health, safety and well-being of our community is a top priority and concern for all of us at the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative. And, we know it is for you, too. As a creative community that works to ensure that students have equitable access to the region's arts and humanities learning opportunities, we know that together we can come up with creative ways to continue to make our work possible.


The DC Collaborative Announces a weekly curated themes for its Daily Zoom Chat schedule to ensure that relevant information is being passed a long to the greater arts and humanities eductaion community of practice. Join us weekdays at 11 AM!

The DC Collaborative is proud to launch its Distance Learning Resource Database, a comprehenseive list of curricular gudes, virtual field trips and other resources to deepen students' at-home learning experiences. Educators, students and parents/ caregivers are encouraged to peruse it, use it and share it! We will continue to update the database on a rolling basis with additional Distance Learning and downloadable/ printable resources. Cultural institutions and practitioners/ teaching artists are encouraged to continue to submit distance learning resources!

The DC Collaborative has suspended all field-trips, in-school workshops/ residencies and professional development workshops offered through the DC Collaborative's Arts and Humanities for Every Student (AHFES) program through Friday, April 3.

DC Collaborative Virtual Convenings

DC Collaborative Distance Learning Resource Database

Launching the Distance Resource Learning Database

In the database, you will find a compilation of online and printable arts and humanities learning resources for students, teachers, and families. It is our hope that that materials on this database will be used to enhance arts and humanities education, equitably, inside or outside of the classroom.

The database will be continuously updated with curricular guides, virtual field trips, and other educational activities to enhance students’ at-home learning experiences as well as Professional Development for educators.

We Need Your Online/ Printable Education Resources!

The DC Collaborative launched Distance Learning Resource Database in response to COVID-19 for schools to share with educators, students and parents/ caregivers!  Together, let's help our schools provide digital and printable learning opportunities from our arts and humanities organizations! 

We will continue to update the database with distance learning materials. Please complete the following form so we can add your organization's online and downloadable education resources to the DC Collaborative's Arts and Humanities Education Online and Printable Resource list.
