Through our annual festival, year-round events, and online resources, we seek to advance public understanding of the environment through the power of film.

The Environmental Film Festival aims to connect students to the environment through educational film programming and interactive learning experiences.

Description of Education Initiatives: The Environmental Film Festival works with the DC Collaborative to host an annual youth screening, inviting public and charter school students to watch an environmentally themed film and participate in a Q&A with filmmakers and subjects. The film screening field trip is accompanied by classroom materials and teacher resources relating to topics and themes featured in the film.
