FOOL Around with Faction of Fools: Slapstick Comedy Workshop! (Prek-3rd) *
Join Faction of Fools Theatre for some physical foolery! This 40 minute, pre-recorded lesson will get students on their feet and clowning around! Students will approach creating comic characters through dance with Darius Johnson, make masks with Mask-maker Tara Cariaso, and explore movement for these masks. The class will begin and end with a yoga practice led by yoga-certified instructor Kathryn Zoerb. This workshop is designed for classes to participate in together on a video meet, or to be watched independently. The craft can be completed with supplies found at home. PreK students should craft with an adult helper.

FOOL Around with Faction of Fools: Slapstick Comedy Workshop! (6th-Adult Ed) *
This 35 minute, pre-recorded lesson will get students on their feet and exploring comic character creation through physical movement. Students will explore simple movement concepts, compose comedic ways of moving, and create a short solos with Francesca Chilcote. Then, they will apply these characters to the study of Slapstick with John Bellomo, a Certified Teacher and Fight Director with the SAFD. The class will end with a yoga practice led by yoga-certified instructor Kathryn Zoerb to recenter and focus. This workshop is designed for classes to participate in together on a video meet, or to be watched independently.
