Cinema Classroom at the Avalon – The Courageous Life of Irena Sendler
“The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler”, a film about a Polish social worker who saves thousands of Jewish children during World War II/The Holocaust. The program includes an introduction to the Holocaust and an overview of Irena’s courageous acts. We hope participants will have an enriched understanding of this historical event, its impact on the world, the value of empathy, and the power of one courageous act.
