Work With Us

All DC public and public charter schools are encouraged to become school partners with DC Collaborative to access all educational, professional development, and community engagement offerings.

Becoming a school partner requires:

Any member of DC Collaborative who offers education programming can submit to become a Provider. Each accepted Provider will have their programs/resources facilitated by DC Collaborative and featured in our Catalogue.

Those interested in becoming a Provider must complete the DC Collaborative program submission form. Representatives from the arts and humanities education community review all programs submitted, provide feedback, and determine which submissions will be offered to educators for registration.

Educators request programs during designated registration periods. Program dates are assigned by DC Collaborative according to our equity assigning strategy, prioritizing schools that experience opportunity gaps, lack of staffing and/or resources, and/or have expressed a need for arts and humanities enrichment programming. The Collaborative partners with experts to continually understand how equity can be prioritized, integrated, and evaluated.

Teaching artists and organizations with annual budgets less than $250,000 are permitted to charge up to $4.00 per program participant. Historically, programs that are not free have had low registration. Should a teacher register for a program that has a cost associated with it, all communication regarding invoicing must come directly from the AHFES Provider prior to the program date. The DC Collaborative WILL NOT process invoices on behalf of AHFES Providers OR cover the cost of any outstanding invoices for programs with an associated fee.

The DC Collaborative DOES NOT directly grant money for program operations or supplement any costs incurred for services provided to DC public and public charter schools.

  • While the DC Collaborative offers transportation logistics services, all associated fees are the responsibility of the Provider. The Provider must cover all transportation costs, unless otherwise communicated directly by DC Collaborative.

Budget permitting, DC Collaborative offers small subsidies for transportation through our Forward the A.R.T.S. Fund initiative. Subsidies are not guaranteed and only available to eligible Program Providers.
