Capitol Movement’s Free Day of Dance Matinee

Capitol Movement’s Free Day of Dance is a high-energy live dance performance at the Lincoln Theatre.

The show features works by celebrity and local choreographers, and this season’s theme for the show is “Complexities.” The performance encompasses multiple genres of dance, including hip-hop, tap, jazz, and modern. The event will allow students to engage with the dancers during a brief Q&A at intermission and even participate in learning a few 8-counts of choreography right from their seats!

Grade level: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
Maximum attendees: 700
Program Outline:

20 min: Act 1 of dance performance
15 min: Q&A with students & dancers at intermission
20 min: Act 2 of dance performance
15 min: Learn a few 8-counts of choreography from a dancer right in their seats
