This program is a highly interactive workshop series in which students learn to create and perform an original dramatic work based on their lived experiences. Curriculum includes improvisation, storytelling, scene study, and theatrical performance techniques. Final performances can be for large audiences (e.g., school assemblies) or informal sharings within the classroom.

Early sessions focus on story generation and improvisation. Later sessions include scripting, scene study, and rehearsal. Early sessions include physical and vocal warm-ups (5-10 min), theatre games (10 min), storytelling and improv exercises (20-25 min), closing reflections (5 min). Later sessions include physical and vocal warm-ups (5-10 min), scripting and rehearsing monologues and scenes through structured improvisation and incorporation of performance techniques (30-40 min). The final session includes a performance (warm-up, 20-30 min performance, reflections).
