A Case for the Existence of God – Mosaic Theater Company’s Intergenerational Matinee Program

The play is a story of a Black gay mortgage broker and a straight white construction worker who struggle over the terms of a home loan while connecting over fatherhood’s joys and pains. They form an unlikely friendship, using humor to find hope amidst heartbreak. Matinee participants will be able to explore how shared experiences can help us build connections across differences. Mosaic’s Intergenerational Matinee Program provides opportunities for middle and high school students to experience culturally-diverse, socially-relevant theater. Students attend a performance at Mosaic and participate in an interactive post-show conversation featuring artists from the show. Students can ask questions, share their perspectives, explore the play’s themes, and learn more together. Senior citizens also attend allowing these disparate populations to be in dialogue via the arts.
