Cinema Classroom at the Avalon – Inocente

The movie focuses on the life of Inocente Izucar, a homeless teenage immigrant who struggles to achieve her dream of becoming an artist.

Cinema Classroom at the historic Avalon Theater offers free programming to schools and students in grades 6-12. Featured films engage students in pressing human rights and social justice issues through screenings and expert-guided discussions. Films are paired with interviews hosted by subject-matter experts who guide students through engaging post-film discussions.

10 mins: Pre-Screening Workshop
60 – 90 mins: Film Screening
20 – 30 mins: Post-Screening Workshop w/ Special Guest (where available)
