Octet

Octet is a chamber choir musical that delves into the personal struggles and anxieties of individuals attending a support group of technology addiction. The show is set in a church basement and features a mix of acapella music and intimate storytelling, exploring themes of addiction, nihilism, and the search for meaning in a world dominated by virtual interactions. It is a deep exploration of human connection in the digital age.

Content Note: Much of the difficult content in Octet is couched within songs; please reach out for links to the soundtrack if you want more context. Octet contains mature themes and strong language, including references to pornography, self-neglect and self-harm, mental health diagnoses, violence including sexual violence, simulated consumption of a psychedelic, and description of dark web content, including conspiracy theories, incel culture, and online extremism.
